NORMAL, Ill. – Illinois State fans can enjoy free admission on Saturday, Sept. 29, when the Redbirds host Indiana State at 7 p.m. for the team's annual "Pack the Arena" match at Redbird Arena during their home-opening weekend.
A number of exciting activities are set to take place ahead of the match versus the Sycamores, including a free yoga session beginning at 6 p.m. in the Legends Room located in the tunnel of Redbird Arena. Those that are interested in participating in the yoga are required to bring their own yoga mat. For kids, there will be a Fun Zone located on the concourse, featuring various games and activities.
The Alamo II will be on-site selling the newest Redbird volleyball gear. New this year, the Illinois State volleyball team is implementing a tradition asking all fans to wear the same color that the team will be wearing on the court to help show off Redbird pride. Each match that is played on a Friday night, the team and fans alike will be wearing the color white, while fans are encouraged to wear red to matches the team plays on Saturday's.
Although admission is free for the match, tickets for all other Illinois State volleyball matches are available from the Illinois State Athletics Ticket Office. Fans can purchase tickets online at GoRedbirds.com/Tickets, by calling (309) 438-8000 or by visiting the ticket office, located at the north entrance to Redbird Arena.
